Wow!
What an amazing group of 2nd graders I have. Every day they come to school ready to work
hard and get down to learning. I’m very
very proud of all the effort they have been putting in. Make sure to take a few minutes this weekend
to praise them for all of their hard work.
They deserve it!
There are just a few updates that I want to
let you know about. In addition to going
to library on Tuesdays for our library lesson, we will be going on Thursdays
for 20 minutes to check out books. If
your child chooses to bring their library book home on Thursday, it needs to be
returned by the following Wednesday for check in. We will also be going to four Kinderkonzerts
at Woodstock school this year! These
concerts are put on by the Oregon Symphony and are very kid friendly. I have
included a permission slip in your child’s homework folder. You will need to sign the permission slip 4
times, once for each trip. No
chaperones are needed for these field trips.
Our field trip to the Hoyt Arboretum is
Wednesday, Oct. 2nd. Please
make sure your child dresses appropriately for this trip. We will be outside the whole time. If there is any chance of rain I would
recommend having your child wear a rain coat and rain boots (or shoes that can
get dirty).
